Prolepsis (prōˈlepsəs, Greek for prevention) is a nonprofit organization that conducts empirical research, provides education and training, and offers consulting and other services in the areas of population and occupational health and safety. Especially because work has a central role in human wellbeing, we envision a society where people have a healthier, safer, and more meaningful working life. We founded this organization to serve primarily socioeconomically and institutionally disadvantaged, underserved, and/or vulnerable populations because all lives have equal value.
Prolepsis is involved in novel empirical research that aims to improve the wellbeing of populations and communities most in need. Prolepsis offers services to researchers, policymakers, the private sector, and like-minded others, who are also committed to improving the lives of those most in need. Prolepsis welcomes opportunities to partner with those communities, organizations, advocacy groups, the private sector, and governments, who are committed to the belief that health is a right for all. Prolepsis believes in the importance of structural changes, such as using and improving public and corporate policies, to advance the health, safety, and wellbeing of working people. Prolepsis is rooted in social justice, which means that everyone deserves equal economic, political, and social rights, protections, and opportunities.
